Crime map useful, but not "definitive"

The latest incarnation of the Police UK crime map, version 2.0, has been warmly received by an industry body - yet it has advised renters not to take it as a "definitive measure" of the area.

The advice was issued by the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), the chief executive of which - Peter Bolton King - passed comment after crime map 2.0 was released.

According to Simplelandlordinsurance.com, he stated: "Any measure that helps people research an area they may be moving to is a good idea in principal."
