Worthing publishes 2012 visitors’ guide
The Worthing 2012 visitor guide has just been released to the public, according to worthing.gov.uk.
Highlighting the seaside town as a “great place to visit and stay”, 23,000 guides will be sent out all over the country and abroad to emphasise events that will occur this year. These will include the Olympic Torch Relay and celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The council reports that visitor numbers have continued to grow; especially with the rise of the ‘staycation’, which sees British holiday makers stay at home rather than journey abroad. This combined with Worthing and Adur’s varied attractions could result in even greater numbers of tourists this year.
This is turn would present plenty of good opportunities for landlords with holiday lets; there shouldn’t be a problem finding seasonal tenants. It may also showcase the area to prospective long-term tenants, who are looking for properties to rent on a more permanent basis.
Speaking to The Sussex Newspaper, Worthing’s cabinet member for regeneration, Bryan Turner, said: “Worthing is very much the traditional seaside town and it’s full of surprises, too.
“Tourism is a vital part of the town’s economy and this guide plays an important part in getting our beautiful town known around the UK and world as a great destination. There’s always plenty to see and do; 2012 will be really exciting and offer even more.”
