Brunswick is the easternmost part of Hove — Regency squares (Brunswick Square the obvious headline), seafront mansion blocks, and a tight handful of streets that draw the highest rents on this side of Brighton & Hove.

Get a valuationBrunswick is the slim strip of Hove that meets the Brighton boundary near the seafront — Brunswick Square, Brunswick Terrace, and the streets feathering north from them. The buildings here are the grandest in the city: Grade II listed Regency terraces facing south to the sea, with the Brunswick Town Hall and a slim parade of indie shops at the back.
Almost all of the housing is conversion flats inside the listed Regency buildings — high ceilings, original cornicing, deep south-facing windows, and the corresponding heating bills in winter. Some of the most-converted addresses (Brunswick Place, Lansdowne Place) have a wide rental market; others are owner-occupied or held long-term by families. The seafront here is wider and quieter than Brighton's; Hove Lawns is at the western edge.

A snapshot from the properties we have comparable data on in Brunswick. Median monthly rent and the typical range for each size of property.
Brighton station is a 10-minute walk east along Western Road; Hove station is a 10-minute walk west. Buses along Western Road run constantly. Cars are impractical — residents-only permit parking, narrow streets, and tight kerb-side spaces.
Brunswick Primary School is the catchment primary (and it's actually inside the area — a rarity for central Hove). Brighton & Hove High (independent, girls) is close, as is Brunswick Town Hall. State secondary depends on the wider Hove catchments.
Professionals and downsizers who want grand architecture and a five-minute walk to the sea, willing to pay for it. Couples without children who like the cultural buzz. Anyone for whom "five minutes to Brighton station" is a top requirement. Less family-led than the rest of Hove; more architecturally distinctive than anywhere except Kemptown.
