Hove is Brighton's elegant, slightly more grown-up sister — wide Regency squares running down to the seafront, leafy family streets behind, independent shops along Western Road and Church Road, and rents that reflect all of the above.

Get a valuationHove is the western half of Brighton & Hove, distinct enough to feel like its own town. Its character changes as you move through it: grand Regency squares like Brunswick and Adelaide near the seafront, leafier family streets through central Hove, and Edwardian terraces further west and north. The seafront promenade is wider and quieter than Brighton's, and the beach huts along it are a Hove institution.
Hove sits squarely in the family/professional sweet spot. Church Road and Blatchington Road have the local high-street shops; Western Road is busier and more commercial as it heads into Brighton. The area is well-served by parks (Hove Park is the biggest), and the Hove Lawns and Western Lawns stretch along the seafront. Rents are at the higher end of Brighton & Hove for what you get.
